What is #Pads4Paps?

Women helping women, with healthcare at the heart.

#Pads4Paps is a women-led social-health initiative founded by Dr Colette Adams-Julius and 4FR Health. It connects women’s healthcare, cervical-health awareness and menstrual dignity—encouraging women to prioritise their own health while helping another woman or girl manage menstruation with dignity.

This page is your current campaign journey: what the appointment offers, what to expect and how to book. The permanent #Pads4Paps home tells the fuller story of how the initiative began, its historic impact and the different ways people can support it.

Your health matters too

A small appointment can be an important step for your future health.

Women often postpone their own healthcare while caring for everything and everyone around them. #Pads4Paps creates a welcoming opportunity to pause, ask questions and focus on the health concerns that matter to you.

Your visit is centred on women’s health. Depending on your needs and the doctor’s clinical assessment, it may include cervical screening, breast or urinary concerns, contraception or another women’s-health question you would like to discuss.

There is no judgement about how long it has been. We simply meet you where you are.The #Pads4Paps promise

Care that reaches further

Your appointment is part of something bigger.

#Pads4Paps brings women’s healthcare and menstrual dignity together. By caring for your own health, you become part of a campaign that supports practical dignity, community giving and opportunities for other women.

A message from Dr Colette

Dear Ladies,

Over the years, I have met many women who have quietly placed their own health at the bottom of a very long list.

There is always something else that needs attention. Work. Family. Children. Responsibilities. Life. Sometimes months pass. Sometimes years.

#Pads4Paps began as a simple idea: women helping women. We wanted to create a welcoming opportunity for women to prioritise their health while also supporting the dignity and wellbeing of another woman.

This campaign is not about judging how long it has been since your last check-up or whether you have ever had a Pap smear before. It is about meeting you where you are and helping you take the next step.

Whether you attend for screening, advice, reassurance or to discuss a concern, our team will do everything we can to ensure that you feel respected, heard and cared for.

Thank you for trusting us with your health. We look forward to welcoming you.

What is included in my appointment?

Your visit is a focused women’s-health consultation. The services provided will depend on what you would like to discuss and what the doctor considers clinically appropriate during the available consultation time.

Do I have to choose a Pap smear?

No. You can tell us which women’s-health concerns or questions are relevant to you. The doctor will discuss appropriate care with you during the consultation.

Will my information remain private?

Yes. Your personal and health information is treated as private and is used to prepare for, manage and provide your care. Access is limited to authorised team members.

Do I need to pay when I book?

Yes. The R350.00 campaign contribution is paid securely online during the booking process. Because appointments are limited, your selected time is confirmed only after payment has been completed.

Is sponsorship or an additional donation compulsory?

No. Both are entirely optional. Your own appointment is not affected if you choose neither.

Can I donate without booking an appointment?

Yes. The standalone donation page lets you make a secure once-off donation to #Pads4Paps through 4FR Help NPC without creating a medical booking or patient record. Donate online.

When is my appointment confirmed?

Your appointment is confirmed as soon as your secure online payment has been completed and verified. You will see a clear confirmation message and receive an email.
