About Dr Kleyn

Specialist experience built across public service, maternity care and private practice.

Dr Michael Inus Kleyn completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of Cape Town in 2001, graduating with an MBChB with honours.

He completed his internship and community service at Barberton Hospital in Mpumalanga and remained there as a Senior Medical Officer until 2004. He then returned to Cape Town and worked at Mowbray Maternity Hospital while awaiting a registrar post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Kleyn began his formal specialist training in 2006 and completed it in July 2010, obtaining his Fellowship of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa.

He practises in association with Dr A. P. Rosselli and has private consulting rooms serving patients in the Panorama and Durbanville Mediclinic areas.

His fields of interest include high-risk obstetrics, polycystic ovary syndrome and endometrial ablation.

2023
Where his #Pads4Paps journey began

Showing up, year after year.

Dr Kleyn has supported #Pads4Paps every year since 2023. That continuing contribution represents more than a single volunteer session. It reflects a sustained commitment to women’s health, cervical-cancer screening and the dignity at the heart of the campaign.

With heartfelt thanks

Thank you, Dr Michael.

We are deeply grateful to Dr Kleyn for returning to support #Pads4Paps year after year. By continuing to give his time and specialist expertise without payment, he has become an important part of the campaign’s story and its mission of women helping women.
